Children's church notes:
We appreciate your willingness to serve in this vital ministry to our young children and their parents. Some of our daughter’s fondest memories are of Children’s Church and Mission Friends and of a wonderful lady who everyone called Miss Mattie. The love and care you show our children is a never ending blessing. When you touch the heart of a child, you also touch the family because the child lives what he or she is taught. It is a great gift you give the family and our church.
If you cannot work on the Sunday assigned to you, please trade Sundays with another worker.
If you want to plan some type of activity, feel free to do so. Let me know if there are supplies you need. You may allow the children to play with the toys, books, etc. in the room.
Dr. Almond likes to have a Children’s Sermon every Sunday, but occasionally we might not be able to fit it in the order of worship. Watch your bulletin so you will know when we are not having one. It would be nice if you would take your group of children in the sanctuary and let them sit on the front rows so the Pastor or Marcy Feltner can tell the children’s story. You can take them back to the Sunday School room right after he or she finishes.
Nursery Notes:
This list begins on Sunday, Jan 1, 2012 and goes through, Sunday, December 30, 2012. If you are unable to serve on your assigned Sunday please contact another worker on the list and trade Sundays. If you cannot find someone to trade with, please call me at 224-9382 or Susie Lewis at 224-0352 and one of us will trade with you. There will need to be two workers in the Infant Nursery (Room 123) and two workers in the 2 and 3 year old Department (Room 106). The choice of nurseries will be left up to the four people in each group. I thank you for serving in this very important ministry to our young children and families of our church. If you have any questions, please call me at 224-9382 after 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. We appreciate you giving your time to help care for and nurture our children.
